A comparison from the java edition.

I have edited out the end rod, cake, and mob heads from your main list, since they don't get shown on java maps

Is this still in effect?

So this is affecting 1.0.4.0 then.

Can you test some of the listed blocks to confirm that I'm not the only one?

I noticed that Normal Shulker Box appears same as White Shulker Box on the map, I was going to create a ticket about this however it could be resolved as duplicate. So I wanted to write this here.

Seconding Marcus on every terracota (not glazed) being the same color as concrete, wool etc, making map arts essentially impossible.
Also wondering if it is the devs intention to make maps exactly the same as in java (all block colors and the ways shadowing works)

Contrary to the description, purpur still doesn't show up properly in maps in the End dimension (e.g. end cities aren't visible on maps). Purpur should be moved to the "not fixed" category on this basis.  In Overworld maps, purpur does seem to show up correctly, so I would think adding a note to the bug description would be appropriate

Bug still present in 1.19.0, not fixed in the 1.19.10 previews, and no sign of being fixed any time soon 😞

If at least the terracotta map colors were added we would have the same amount of colors as java

this issue is pretty infuriating (as an artist myself) especially since I took the time to plan out a map art, only to find out that the colors are different in bedrock than in java, and the color reference photo I used was from java edition. I have to scrap an entire project until this gets fixed, and I was really excited to get working on it too.
