MCPE-201558

Projectiles shot or thrown don't go in the direction aimed by the player

The arrow that should be in a straight line, instead goes in the opposite direction, not in accordance with the bow angle. This is strange.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Create a new world with the Experimental Creator Camera Features toggle enabled

  2. Tap on the screen to throw a projectile

Observed Results:

The projectile is thrown where you tapped on the screen.

Expected Results:

The projectile should be thrown where the crosshair is.

This program is Minecraft 1.21.80

1.21.80 The error appeared in the official version, and the problem still exists in the 1.21.90.23 beta version.

I also get it, please solve that problem.

Veo que a muchos nos afecta el mismo bug

Can confirm this also affects 1.21.81 on iOS

Did you turn on "Experimental Creator Camera Function" in the world settings? This aiming bug seems to be related to that setting. If you use an arrow or trident in world that turned this setting off, it's thrown where the cross pointer points. The game version is 1.21.90.27.

How can I turn off this button, its locked

Unfortunately, once the experimental function is turned on, it cannot be turned off again in a normal way :(

So the bow issue is never gonna be fixed right?

I’m not a developer, but from what I tested and saw, this seems tied to the experimental camera. Hopefully Mojang will address it once it's out of the experimental stage!

By the way, it might be possible to disable the experimental feature if you can access the minecraftWorlds files, like in this video: https://youtu.be/pl6pV1nJYic?si=iJ0JL_x2R23OQ9z3

I personally couldn’t try it myself because of phone security restrictions. (I’m using a Galaxy S23, and I couldn’t access the world files.)
