I’m not a developer, but from what I tested and saw, this seems tied to the experimental camera. Hopefully Mojang will address it once it's out of the experimental stage!
By the way, it might be possible to disable the experimental feature if you can access the minecraftWorlds files, like in this video: https://youtu.be/pl6pV1nJYic?si=iJ0JL_x2R23OQ9z3
I personally couldn’t try it myself because of phone security restrictions. (I’m using a Galaxy S23, and I couldn’t access the world files.)
Unfortunately, once the experimental function is turned on, it cannot be turned off again in a normal way :(
Did you turn on "Experimental Creator Camera Function" in the world settings? This aiming bug seems to be related to that setting. If you use an arrow or trident in world that turned this setting off, it's thrown where the cross pointer points. The game version is 1.21.90.27.
I'm also having the same issue, just started up 10 minutes ago I was playing good all night and most of today untill this happened. So far it's only an issue with me as the owner of the server
Also another thing to note, it appears this also then affects the ability to type in the search field in the crafting recipes.
Meaning it is impossible to search for a particular recipe / block
Seems to be a similar issue, as it was on a local server
Found a workaround to this bug while applying a workaround to MC-162253.
All I did was place a layer of transparent blocks (ie. glass, barrier blocks) over the area I wanted to show on the map. I did this at y = 255 but from a little bit of testing it seems like any y value will work, even 1 block above the issue at y = 1.
Done on version 1.16.4/1.16.5 on Java Realms.
uhmmmm I did... it definitely shows up for me
Well I tried
/give @p enderman_spawn_egg{EntityTag:{id:"minecraft:minecart",NoGravity:1b,Passengers:[{id:chicken}]}} 1
and when I put the spawnegg on the ground:
see screenshot
it spawned an empty minecart, while the command clearly says to put a chicken in there. Ive tried putting all sorts of things in the command like adding "" to chicken and a : and :1 but it all doesnt seem to work.
[media]If it hasn't been mentioned yet, the 'X' on treasure maps is also not visible when the map DOES glitch visible long enough to look at it.
This issue appears to be fixed in 1.14.2
I can confirm that repeating command blocks stop working as soon as a /clone command is run off of a separate command block. It is not the case if the player executes the command via chat.
This bug is especially game-breaking for me as I'm on Realms and cannot simply revert back to 1.14.
My current workaround is to:
a) Have all of my repeating command blocks be in a centralized area (ie: spawn chunks).
b) Make all of my repeating command blocks require redstone to be activated.
and then (after every command block that runs a clone command) do:
1) /fill xyz1 xyz2 white_wool replace redstone_block
2) /fill xyz1 xyz2 redstone_block replace white_wool
This process reactivates all repeating command blocks within xyz1 to xyz2.
This is as usual.
You have to press CTRL and Key 3 to copy the NBT of chests and others.
Also happens on phone
