In the video, you can see that on the left side, the reflections in the water aren’t rendering. It probably has something to do with the FOV.

This is how screen space reflection works, it only reflects the things that are on your screen. The only way to fix it is to use ray tracing, which is not available on most devices.
Both people saying this is normal are incorrect.
Minecraft’s current implementation of SSR is very poor compared to ANY other game title.
The Fade out for reflections is extremely low and the edges of the screen have MUCH less reflections than most other games aswell.
This can definitely be improved more.
Just to clarify - the issue in the video is happening because your crosshair is below Horizon.
SSR reflects exactly what is seen when looking straight ahead of the player. You you look below the horizon you get this artifact.
BUT THIS STILL HAPPENS even if you’re looking directly head-on. SRR fades out Significantly at the corners and the overall reflection even when looking Head-On fades out extremely short.
SSR in Minecraft is poorly implemented.
This is an SSR artifact. Nothing Minecraft devs can’t do anything about this.
