Shadows in real life can be cast on clouds..

It has nothing to do with players assuming you can stand on them.

As you will notice, my player can Directly see the Sun. Yet I’m always in shade.

This is illogical. Especially for the image that I am Infront of Obsidian.

Why can I see the sun - But the shadows being cast from the cave opening stop AHEAD OF ME as if I’m in shade, not direct sunlight as you can obviously see - I AM…

This happens a TON. Mostly when the object that is supposed to be blocking the sun, is a certain distance from the player. Once you get close enough or exit the 15 block light level area where the whole was created - the issue resolves itself.

This happens on Xbox too.

It is NOT because of volumetric fog and it is NOT because of SSR.

You can test both options set to the lowest possible on Minecraft preview and there is no improvement.

This also happens with more than just “oceans” it happens with any large body of water.

Another example of how extreme the effects are. Pleeeaaaass fix this soon.

This was NEVER a problem with the old Console version of the game.

And this isn’t an Issue if I play 100% offline, never connected to the internet.

it makes NO sense that just because I’m connected to the Internet, the game prioritized saving to the Cloud instead of my actual Console.

(I just want to make sure this is Well known) Lava, Glowstone and Shroomlights are BY FAR the worst affected emissive blocks.

You don’t even have to look directly at lava, for it to lose all emissive qualities.

Nevermind, I thought the other post that mentions auto exposure was specifically talking about Torches - as I swear that’s what I had read from it before, when I commented on it.

but it does say “Light sources” in general.

Dude what?

That report was marked as “resolved” and supposedly a duplicate. A duplicate of what? this a report specifically about Auto exposure and it’s affect on ALL emissive textures.

It absolutely IS NOT resolved.

100%.. all I’ve seen and heard are massive issues since the last chunk of updates.

Reddit is full of hundreds. According to most it’s nearly unplayable without massive workarounds, constant restarts or just the BetterRTX mod…

This is unacceptable. It’s a game feature - it should atleast WORK.

Auto exposure has Been broken since early 1.21.70 beta/preview.

I don’t understand why it was even implemented or changed from what it was Before then.

Lava is probably the most significantly affected Texture/Emissive by Auto exposure.

Just look at what Happens to this Lava.

These Images show the difference between Bedrock Vibrant Visuals and a basic JAVA edition shader. The JAVA shader is the one with very dense fog.

As you can tell - that Lava looks incredible. And doesn’t get ruined by Auto exposure…

This is still a Huge issue with Auto exposure And Brightness.

Auto exposure causes Emissive textures to become under saturated and lose their Bloom effect.

the incorrect calibration on the Brightness slider makes rectifying this IMPOSSIBLE without setting your brightness to over 50%..

This issue Ruins any emissive block that is visible on screen while Auto exposure sets in. It is most noticeable with Lava and Shroomlights in the Nether.

Video provided to show how badly affected the Lava texture is…https://www.xbox.com/play/media/2LSwJtu6ng

Can Confirm.

Lava looks Abysmal compared to any Java Shader.

You can see here.. it’s VERY obvious what looks better. And it’s also very Obvious which is Java and which is Bedrock.

Second this. Per biome colour temperature settings disappear when Weather effects set in.

This is an Xbox App link..

This is the best example of the issue. And it’s pretty obvious how severe the effect is.

You cannot see anything in the background.

For some reason when I try to upload Some Video clips as Examples - it doesn’t work.
