The real bug here is that the old UI is being displayed. Duplicate of MCPE-203266 .

Does the issue occur consistently, or does it happen intermittently?
Are you connected to the internet while playing the game?
Could you list all the add-ons you are using?
Can you record and upload a video of this issue?
Have you selected “hard” difficulty and survival mode first? Have you tried tapping the hardcore toggle?
