Corrupt screen when exiting the play screen to the main menu

When you exit the play screen to go back to the menu the screen becomes corrupt for a second then becomes normal.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Open Minecraft.

2. Press play.

3. Then press the back button.

Observed Result:

The screen becomes corrupt for a second.

Expected Result:

There should be a smooth transition between the play screen and the main menu.
