My new storage room is great but I have an issue with the new Copper Golem. In the room there are small sections for each Copper Golems to work in. The first one sends the items he can’t put in his chests to the next golem and so on, like an assembly line. No particular blocks around them, so they won’t get stuck anywhere. To reproduce one of this sections, you’ll have to:
place 6 normal double chests one next to the other, 3 on the ground and 3 on top of them;
place a double copper chest after the 3 normal chests on the bottom row, making sure that half of it is accessible from the Copper Golem (it will take items from there);
place a normal double chest before the 3 normal chests on the bottom row so that half of it is accessible from the Copper Golem (it will put here extra items, the ones that he can’t put in the other 6 normal double chests);
place an hopper above one side of the double copper chest and a stair (make sure it’s placed in the right direction, so that the chest can open);
place two stairs above the extra items chest (always make sure to place them correctly, so it can be opened);
close the rest of the area so that the Copper Golem has only got a 1x3 space.
I expected him to check in his copper chest again:
every time he has sorted an item, so he can take another one to sort;
if no other items are in his copper chest, he should still check every few seconds.
He actually does that, but after a random time he gets “bored” and decides to freeze in place, stare at the copper chest, not checking it at all, eventually looking at me if I get close, and then looking back at his copper chest. To make the Copper Golem check again his copper chest, I have to punch him so he can run a bit and continue working (but soon he will do that again). The real problem here in my specific case, is that if just one of them gets lazy, all the ones after him won’t be able to do their job, even if they check their chest, because they won’t recive anything. By the way, I’m really happy with all the new copper blocks and tools and the Copper Golem is a useful, great and very cute addition to the game especially for me (I’m a mess when it’s about organising blocks and items, ahahah). Hope you manage to resolve this bug as soon as possible, good luck! 💚
PS: If you look closely to the photos, you’ll notice a glow in his eyes. That glow is just due to the add-on Actions&Stuff, but since it is just a resource pack it doesen’t affect the Copper Golem behaviour.
This may be the same underlying pathfinding issue as described in (MCPE-223948). Here, the copper golem is not above the chest, but the distance appears to be the same.
