Sulfur Cube Spawning Conditions in Bedrock Beta Are Out of Sync with Java Edition Snapshot

Description:
In the latest Bedrock beta (following the initial addition of Sulfur Cubes in 26.20.23/24), Sulfur Cubes have spawning conditions requiring block light level 0, use a space detection range of 0.6×1.8×0.6 (creeper-sized), and sulfur caves do not spawn cave spiders. However, in the most recent Java Edition snapshot where Sulfur Cubes were also added, their spawning conditions are significantly different: they have no light level requirement (can spawn even at light level 15), use a proper space detection range matching their actual 0.98×0.98×0.98 collision box, and sulfur caves do spawn cave spiders.

How to Reproduce:

  1. Bedrock Beta: Enter a sulfur cave biome, observe Sulfur Cube spawning behavior under different light levels, and note the presence of cave spiders.

  2. Java Snapshot: Perform the same observations in an equivalent sulfur cave biome.

  3. Compare the results between the two versions.

Observed Result:

  • Bedrock Beta: Sulfur Cubes only spawn at block light level 0; they are blocked by any light source. Cave spiders do not spawn in sulfur caves. Space detection uses creeper dimensions (1.8 blocks tall).

  • Java Snapshot: Sulfur Cubes spawn at any light level (including 15). Cave spiders spawn naturally in sulfur caves. Space detection uses the Sulfur Cube's actual size (~0.98 blocks tall).

  • These differences create a significant parity gap.

Expected Result:

  • Sulfur Cube spawning mechanics should be consistent between Bedrock and Java Editions, matching the Java snapshot's behavior (no light restriction, correct collision-based space detection, cave spiders present in sulfur caves).

  • Alternatively, if any difference is intentional, it should be clearly documented, but the ideal outcome is full parity for cross‑edition farm design compatibility.

Additional Notes:
The light level restriction in Bedrock severely limits where Sulfur Cubes can spawn, making them much rarer and preventing certain farm designs (e.g., using torches to control spawns). The incorrect space detection (inherited from creepers) further breaks selective farming. Java’s approach—allowing spawning in any light but relying on biome and collision detection—is more flexible and predictable. Given that sulfur caves are a new feature, it is critical to align both editions before full release to avoid long‑term parity debt.

Please stop adding exaggeratted statements like the following in your reports:

This cross-version disparity is highly inconsistent and disrupts farm design compatibility between the two editions.

I removed this from the description because it does not add helpful information. It is redundant, obvious, and inflated.

Thank you for your report!
However, this issue is Invalid.

Please put only one bug report in each ticket. It is very difficult to keep track of bugs when they are not in their own tickets.

Also please note:
You have already reported the collision box issue at (MCPE-237758).
The light level issue will probably be fixed when (MCPE-237716) is fixed.
The cave spider spawn issue is tracked at (MCPE-238004).
