The bug:
Overworld signs don’t burn away anymore when lit on fire. Obviously nether wood signs are not supposed to burn up at all. Oak wooden signs used to burn up when lit on fire in earlier versions as a version exclusive, but that suddenly went over time. This is unintended according to MCPE-8642, MCPE-6902, MCPE-6331, MCPE-16300, MCPE-7898, and if MC-3263 was ever fixed to begin with. I don’t know any changelogs that changed this.
Steps to Reproduce:
Place a oak sign or any overworld wood sign
Try igniting the top with flint and steel or fire charge
Expected Result:
Overworld signs, especially oak signs should burn away when fire is on them like oak signs used to in earlier versions.
Observed Result:
The oak sign won’t get lit by fire or burn away.
