When players of the Nintendo Switch activate the resource pack from the Super Mario Mash-up Pack (Mario Mash-up), the game needs to disable multiplayer, which also deactivates the Switch-specific one, so when the resource pack from the mash-up pack is activated, it disallows Switch-specific multiplayer from being enabled until the resource pack from the Super Mario Mash-up Pack is deactivated (or a workaround is done), this behavior is inconsistent to the skin pack from the Super Mario Mash-up Pack, or community ports of it.
Steps to reproduce (either method can be done):
Method 1: on existing world:
Make sure you have an active Nintendo Switch Online subscription
With Minecraft open, go to Play
Click Edit on a world
Scroll and click Multiplayer
Make sure the Multiplayer toggle is enabled
Scroll and click Resource Packs
Try activating the resource pack of the Super Mario Mash-up Pack by clicking “Activate” on the Mario Mash-up
Method 2: While creating a world from the Super Mario Mash-up Pack:
Make sure you have an active Nintendo Switch Online subscription
With Minecraft open, go to Play
Click Create new world
Click “Owned by me”
Select Mario Mash-up
Scroll and click Multiplayer
Make sure Multiplayer toggle is enabled
Scroll and click Resource Packs
On the Activated tab, deactivate the Mario Mash-up from the Resource Packs tab
Click “Available” tab
Open the “Owned” dropdown
Try reactivating the resource pack of the Super Mario Mash-up Pack by clicking “Activate” on the Mario Mash-up
Expected result: At best, like community ports, It should be player’s responsibility to turn off multiplayer, or at worst, there should be a pop-up that it will only host the world with Switch-specific multiplayer enabled.
Actual result: Message appears (i.e. “[Infected pack] is not allowed in cross-platform multiplayer worlds.“) telling players to disable multiplayer (see “disable multiplayer pop-up Nintendo Switch.jpg”), but disabling multiplayer also deactivates Switch-specific multiplayer, so the resource pack can no longer be usable with Switch-specific multiplayer.
Note: Not applicable to community ports of the mash-up pack that has the gates removed.
Workarounds (either one can be done):
Hosting worlds on Switch-specific multiplayer:
On the title screen, click Settings
Scroll to and click Account
Click Sign out of your Microsoft Account
Please note that the purchased contents will no longer be synced. Click Sign out on a popup
Restart the game
Switching to Local play mode (if you and your friends of the same device are nearby):
On the title screen, click the Y button to access the Network mode menu
Select “Local play”, this then forcefully enables Switch-specific local multiplayer
Re-enabling Switch-specific multiplayer with Mario Mash-up activated:
Click Edit on a world with the resource pack from the Mario Mash-up activated
Click Multiplayer
Enable Multiplayer, you’ll be told that the game will disable the mash-up pack
Exit the Edit World screen to make changes
Click Edit on the same world
Scroll and click Resource Packs
Click “Available” tab
Open the “Owned” dropdown
Activate the Mario Mash-up
You’ll be told to deactivate multiplayer, select “Disable multiplayer and apply pack”
Click the back button (or try to go back)
On a pop-up, click “Discard changes”

But skins blocking the multiplayer toggle was fixed since 26.30, and the resource pack requiring the toggle to be disabled isn’t fixed. So these are of different behaviors?
I thought this “duplicated” MCPE-189600, but still, the “original”'s (MCPE-180557) observed result is inconsistent to the skin pack since 26.30.
