Device: iPad (5th generation)
OS: iPadOS 16.7.16
Minecraft: Bedrock Edition 26.51
Storage: 32 GB iPad, approximately 10 GB free
Description:
Since the 26.50 update, Minecraft Bedrock will no longer launch on my iPad. I have now updated to version 26.51, but the problem is still occurring.
When I open Minecraft:
The red Mojang loading screen appears.
After a short time, the screen turns completely white.
Minecraft then closes and returns me to the iPad Home Screen.
This happens every time I try to launch the game.
Troubleshooting already attempted:
Restarted the iPad
Fully shut down the iPad and restarted it
Reinstalled Minecraft
Turned Wi-Fi off and attempted to launch
Used Airplane Mode and attempted to launch
Reset iPad settings
Confirmed that there is approximately 10 GB of free storage
Updated Minecraft from 26.50 to 26.51
None of these steps resolved the crash.
Minecraft was working normally on this same iPad before the 26.50 update. The launch crash began after that update and continues after updating to 26.51.
My Minecraft worlds were backed up before troubleshooting, so I have not deleted them.
Expected result:
Minecraft should finish loading and display the main menu.
Actual result:
The Mojang logo appears, the screen turns white, and the application closes back to the Home Screen.
Please investigate this as an iOS/iPad launch crash affecting Minecraft Bedrock 26.51, particularly on older iPad hardware.

I am experiencing the same issue on another iPad 5th generation, running iPadOS 16.7.16 and Minecraft 26.51 Hotfix.
The behavior is identical: Mojang loading screen, then a white screen, followed by an immediate crash back to the iPad Home Screen.
I have also restarted the iPad, offloaded and reinstalled Minecraft, completely deleted and clean-installed the app, tested before restoring any Minecraft worlds, and tested with Wi-Fi disabled and in Airplane Mode. The issue persists.
I also checked the iPadOS crash report. It shows EXC_CRASH / SIGABRT and Metal-related entries including MTLReportFailure and MTLValidateFeatureSupport.
