Ice bricks aren't slippery

As you may already know ice in Minecraft is slippery but ice brick and is variants are not.

How to do it:

Place ice bricks in the world and walk on it.

Intended result:

The ice bricks should be slippery.

Actual result:

The ice bricks are not slippery.

Why I think this is a problem:

Players often build road with ice and ride a boat on it, to have a super fast travel method.

But the problem is that the road need to be made of ice because it's the only slippery block, and not being able to decorate the roads with the new ice bricks is a missed opportunity.
