When a tree grows on coarse dirt, it reverts to regular dirt.
To reproduce this bug:
1, Place coarse dirt.
2. Plant sapling on it.
3. Use bone meal to grow tree or wait until it grows naturally.
4. Cut down the tree to discover that there is now regular dirt left behind.
This bug also existed in the Java Edition previously and was fixed. See MC-57884.

Confirmed for 1.8.0.8 beta.
Updated to mention podzol. Confirmed in 1.12/1.13

Rested in 1.16.101. Large spruce works as intended (I guess? turns coarse dirt into podzol), coarse dirt does not appear to be changed, but podzol does get converted to dirt for non-large spruce saplings that get bonemealed.

Resolving this ticket as Fixed. We've decided to track podzol in a new ticket since it was not part of this ticket originally.

Can confirm this issue is still present in the latest beta (beta 1.5.0.0).
