Yes i searched.
When walking, jumping, landing or sprinting on top of (not inside) fire, the sound associated with wood-type blocks is played.
Attached is the setup used to test this bug.

Confirmed for Windows 10 1.2.8. To reproduce the issue, position yourself over the fire but with the player's collision box overlapping a stone block, and jump. It should play the footstep-on-stone sound, but appears to play the footstep-on-wood sound instead.
IIRC it matches Java. If it were changed in some old Java edition update, then is a missing/outdated feature and not really a bug
