The new update added the ability to turn on things like coordinates, fire spread, and tnt without losing achievements. However, this can not be used on a pre-existing Realm world.
In the Realm menu settings for the world (that has already existed prior to the update), there is simply a button for "Activate Cheats." If you click it, it disables all achievements. Therefore the new feature cannot be applied to a Realm world.
All the new features are hiding in that button.

I have the same issue for my world on Realms. When playing on a local world the options are there, but for Realms you have to either Activate Cheats to get options like coordinates, or download the world, activate coordinates, then re-upload to Realms (not very convenient!)
Additionally, if you try to do this via the gamerule command it says that cheats are not enabled.
Julian explained it perfectly. And no, @Auldrick, it wasn't there after a few days, and I wasn't using 1.2.8. Read Julian's comment and that's a perfect elaboration of my bug report.
Added a screenshot.
There's no world option in realms but here's how i change my realm world settings:
1. Download the World.
2. Change the World Settings.
3. Upload the World again.
@Jason, it's possible, but removing the world will also remove the 20+ members from my Realm. I don't know why they didn't just account for Realms when they were making the new feature.

It normally takes a day or so after an update is released for it to become active on Realms. You were probably still using 1.2.8 there.
Realms should have updated by now. Is this problem still happening for you?
