Item tooltips/descriptions do not appear when item selected in inventory (Classic UI). Only appears in hotbar when item is first selected.

I completely agree with Dylan Steffen, the only reason I switch to classic UI because of the way it worked. Now there is practically no difference between pocket edition ui and classic UI other than a bit different layout. There should be a toggle switch that allows you to use the drag and drop. Now even something as simple as organizing your inventory or cheasts is a pain.

This "improved" classic UI in 1.2.13 makes MCPE unplayable. It literally takes away all of the advantages and enjoyment of playing on a touch screen device (being able to see enchantments while holding a book or tool, quick villager trading, great and intuitive inventory management) while still giving us all the disadvantages of bedrock edition (like not having functional glass item elevators after several updates). Instead of breaking an UI that was functional, why not add features we've actually been asking for such as:
-moving a full inventory of a specific block instead of having to move each stack individually
-being able to craft full stacks instead of having to click on it 64 times

I understand this new UI may feel intuitive when playing with a controller, but I purposefully chose a touchscreen because I like to drag and drop, I like to hold an item and place it in whatever inventory slot I choose instead of just swapping with another item. This new UI makes Minecraft unplayable for me. Quite frankly, if y'all want bedrock to be the future of Minecraft, this update is only making me want to switch to Java more.

If you have a chest full of enchanted books, there is no way to see which one is which. If I have 2 picks in my inventory, there's no way to tell the silk touch one from the fortune one.

In general, as mentioned above, the change to the classic UI in 1.2.13 for touch screen users makes it incredibly unpleasant to organize chests, bordering on unplayable. Can't agree more w/ what Kristina wrote above. Put the old UI back, and then give us features we actually want. My feature list would be the same as hers:

1. move all the items of a given type to/from chest (eg. w/ a double tap)
2. craft full stacks instead of having to click hundreds of time (also w/ a double tap)

I get a strong feeling that nobody at Mojang actually plays the game w/ a touch interface. There's no way the changes in 1.2.13 would have gone out if someone on the inside was a touch UI user.

Double-tap for a full stack is not that useful if wanting to craft something only a few times quickly so I would go with long-tap for a full stack.

The missing tool tips makes classic UI unplayable. The change to stack behavior and automatic swapping items are both awful. Isn't this why a beta program exists? To keep updates from ruining the game? All development on aquatic should stop until this is addressed! Terrible. Shame.

I’m on iPad Pro 1st Gen and this bug is absolutely terrible. I have just recently gotten back in survival and it’s impossible to play the game properly. This bug isn’t the only thing wrong too. Trying to split item stacks by drag and dropping is now impossible and that feature has been removed or totally broken. This recent update or whenevee these changes were made are terrible amd have ruined the game. I really hope that this will be fixed very very soon.

I agree with Matt Smith, the missing tool tops makes the game unplayable. I've got some enchanted books but can't tell what enchantments they've got on them. Also you can't tell what blocks you are picking unless you have memorised what every block looks like.

In 1.2.20.1 is not yet good, cause it's only show item description if you tap on item even if you only scrolling down item you've tap is showing item description. Please make it as like as before that if you select an item the selected item will float and can able to drag anywhere and drop to anywhere, it's seem this function make it worse.

Fixed in 1.2.15 for me. Still wish for full restoration of classic UI to pre 1.2.13 functionality as it seems most classic UI users do. But this particular bug is gone.

Experiencing this issue too on iPad 5th Generation. This change is extremely irritating because now I cannot differentiate enchanted book or split stacks. Please revert to original drag and drop system as these new changes haven’t improved the Classic UI at all.

Edit 17/04/18 - The tooltips now display again as of version 1.2.15 (update is iOS only). However, this fix does not restore full functionality before 1.2.13, as tooltip now blocks items if they are selected in the bottom left corner of the hot bar. Please just restore the old system where the item would ‘float’ above the tooltip and you could drag it anywhere on the screen. The new system is highly annoying as it requires extra taps to use and is difficult to split stacks.
