I lost the ability to transfer single items to and from chests, containers, or furnaces.
I have to select the individual tile of where the stack needs to go.
Basically, if I have a stack of 64 items in a chest, and only wish to take only a few with me, it grabs the entire stack every time. I can hold down on the tile as the green bar fills so as to guess on when to let go, but still it has become very annoying and time consuming.
No I do not have any mods on and no I have not messed with the controls or game rules.
Everything has been reset to default.
All of my worlds were affected by this change as well.

Version 1.2.14 on iPad. The "hold-and-green-bar-fills-guess-when-let-go"-trick doesn't work here at all. When you let go of the tile, the green bar stop and nothing happens.
I’ve found that when you let go, you have to then select the tile in the chest/container of where to drop it.
Ah that was because I thought it worked like the old behavior (when you let go after longpress, items moved). When the green bar stops, you have to click a target item. You can "relatively easy" split and combine stacks this way.
No longer possible to transfer one item at a time. Single tap does not transfer item. Pocket ui in PE on ipad pro. Also holding down makes progress bar green yet transfers nothing.
As mentioned in MCPE-37610 this makes it difficult to place or move a single item into a furnace for example, or tap just a few pieces of coal or fuel into the slot for smelting the exact amount of items.

Same issue for me. Version 1.2.13.54, on a Kindle Fire, downloaded from the Google Play Store. Is this related to 32149 or 32096? I'm seeing those behaviors in my worlds as well.
