You just have to wait for it to lay eggs

EDIT: I was wrong. My friend encountered this problem

Same thing happening (or not happening) on my lg stylo 2. I've waited several in game days and no egg laying.

They lay eggs on sand. Did test it in a beach or anywhere with sand?

I can confirm this.  It happens with turtles spawned with a spawn egg, those hatched from turtle eggs, and those that spawn naturally.  You can breed them, and collect the xp, but they never lay new eggs.  I've tested in both creative and survival, in builds custom made for turtle breeding (that previously worked) and on natural beaches.  After breeding, both turtles go back to their normal, meandering movements.  Perhaps the bug is related to choosing which turtle is supposed to go and lay eggs, causing neither turtle to be selected.

Confirmed in Android 6.0 LG K10 and Still affects 1.6.0.5

Confirmed in 1.6.0.6. I have done some experiments with a behavior pack. The turtle successfully goes home, but gets stuck in the "minecraft:wants_to_lay_egg" state. The "minecraft:behavior.lay_egg" component probably doesn't work.

Still affects 1.6.0.6

I'm also having this issue on PC beta

migrated

I'm having this issue on PC too.

I'm having same issue too. On Windows 10 Bedrock V.1.12.0

Have mined the turtle eggs after "force breeding" from another "wilderness" spawn point with Silktouch and hatched them in my garden.

From 8 Turtles, only 1 layed an egg, the other 7 are still "pregnant", because they won't eat more seagrass.

Have waited for 2 days and 1 night, also I've destroyed some blocks to free them, but they don't travel far. (Was hoping they return to the beach from the parents where i got the eggs from.

Also traveled with the horse around 1000 blocks and back hoping something would reset. Nope still same behavior. Reloading same issue.

My World is from some previous versions though. Not sure if that has an impact.

Since 1 Turtle layed an egg, I'm failing in troubleshooting this scenario.

The screenshot is showing my farm and that the turtles really hatched here.

nothing happened.

Keen

Same, happening on xbox bedrock. they breed, drop xp, then just meander forever and never lay eggs. Tried this in two different worlds with wild, freshly-spawned turtles. Please fix 😞

Currently having the same issue on Win 10. Turtles spawn on our beach, Breed the turtles, They wander for days then despawn. No other beaches for thousands of blocks. They won't lay eggs and they keep despawning. we even tried nametags.

This issue is back - I created a new bug to hopefully get it some attention: https://bugs.mojang.com/browse/MCPE-61506
