"/scoreboard players add" sets the score instead of adding to it

Try updating the UI by tapping on the hot bar, does it update to 2? If so it may be MCPE-36948

It doesn't update to 2

I cannot reproduce on Windows 10 or Android (4.4.2).

Score updates to 2 as expected.

Have you tried it on a command block?

Yes, see video on MCPE-36948 for how I got the command to work.

Please send a screenshot of the command you are using and the out put if on a command block.

Are you sure you used "add" in your command? Also, did you use the objective name rather than the display name? Those could really throw you off...

Works fine for me...
