Observers not detecting hopper status change

I'm not sure if this is a bug or how to properly submit this request but the observer does not detect status change in a hopper in bedrock edition from what I see it does do this on the java edition.  Please make the observer send an update signal when when the hopper contents changes

If it isn't a bug, you can submit the request at the feedback site. I'm sure someone else will give you a direct link....

Agreed that I am spotting this behavior on realm world bedrock 1.12.1 playing on android Oreo 8.1 on LG Q6. I agree this really should be detecting a block update from changes on a hopper block and outputting a signal accordingly. This would seem to be a bug / parity issue oversight.

IMHO this is not a bug because observer only detects a hopper been locked/unlocked

Can you give an example of the set up you are using, with steps to reproduce the bug?

Have an observer looking at a hopper, power the hopper using redstone, and the observer will not detect the hopper being powered.

I think this issue has been corrected in the 1.14 betas, however i'm not entirely sure.

Fixed in 1.14!
