Instead of making a new report, add to an existing one

They're all marked resolved and i did not see how to reopen them.

Have you tried reinstalling?

Hello.

I tried everything i found on internet, included reinstalling (with removing com.mojang directory). Last step is to reinstall windows 10, and i'm quite reluctant.

thanks.

Hello.

Issue occurs again with 1.9.0 final and 1.11.0.3 beta.

Tried with Developper mode with no luck

I see you have made several attempts to report this and have it fixed. However, those reports must not have been the same problem, since they have been fixed but your problem hasn't yet. Unfortunately, with something like a crash it's not always evident that a particular case is different. So let's try getting you some help this time.

I suspect that your past attempts to circumvent the problem have left you with a damaged install. I want to try a more thorough uninstall than the way Windows does it, but first we need to make sure you don't lose your worlds.

Since you're unable to start the app, you can't export your worlds, but there's another way.

  1. Open File Explorer.

  2. Create a folder somewhere in Documents to hold your backups.

  3. In the address bar, paste the following: %LocalAppData%\Packages\Microsoft.MinecraftUWP_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\games\com.mojang

  4. Press Enter. File Explorer opens the com.mojang folder.

  5. Copy the Worlds subfolder to the backup folder.

To do a deep reinstall of Minecraft, follow the instructions at the bottom of this page. Although these instructions are described as how to leave the Beta, they really just reinstall the version you're supposed to have (currently, 1.9.0 if you aren't presently in the Beta program or 1.11.0.4 Beta if you are).

After Minecraft is reinstalled, restore the backup Worlds folder over the empty Worlds folder created during installation. You can use the same procedure as above, copying in the reverse direction.

If at any point you're not sure things are going the way they should, just stop add leave a comment here.

I'd appreciate it if you let me know whether this fixes the problem for you. This ticket will automatically reopen when you reply.

Cleaning up old tickets: This ticket had been set to 'Awaiting Response', but has not received a response from the reporter (~3 months+) so is being closed as Cannot Reproduce. If you feel this is still a valid issue then please comment, or create a new ticket following the Issue Guidelines which includes steps to reproduce the problem.
