The game lags terrible when autosaves. This is a problem specialy since the Bedrock Edition doesn't allow to disable it.
When happening, chunks are not loading until the autosave ends. This causes the player can move along the empty, and walls random become invisible, affecting a lot to the game experience.
Mined block refuse to dissapear, placed blocks are not showing in screen and the object menu cannot be opened until the autosave ends.
I'm not talking about internet lag, this issue happens when the game autosaves, which occur every 2 minutes, making the game nearly unplayable. Setting the distance simulation to minimum doesn't help.
This issue is more noticeable in local multiplayer. With 2 players affects a lot to the game experience. With more players the game behaves similar at game crashing making it unplayable.
Pretty sure it's related with MCPE-34884 and possibly with MCPE-19308

I am having this same issue on my switch, and has continued with the new 1.12.0 update (Bedrock Edition). Seems worse with new update, as now things freeze up for a second or two as well.
Second this bug report.
Please reprioritize this issue as it is a dealbreaker on the Nintedo Switch platform. Minecraft quickly becomes completely unplayable due to this bug. It's also a major regression compared to the discontinued console edition.
As a hotfix, I urgently recommend to add an option to decrease the autosave frequency.
In the long run, a new autosave process should only start a fixed interval after the previous autosave has completed, not after the previous autosave started.
I agree... autosave runs far too often. It would be nice to have a setting that could be set by the user for minimum amount of time before autosaving.
This problem becomes progressively worse as the file size increases. When a new world is created it is nearly absent, by about 40Mb file size it becomes noticeable. I once got a file to almost 60 before becoming unwilling to deal with it versus keeping what we worked for. The 1.2.60 update exacerbated the problem on our new file, the file was becoming a problem at 49 Mb file size, after the update it was dramatically worsened. My kid no longer wants to play after walking away from several worlds after months of building due to the same issue. I fear we are done with the game until it has resolved.
This seems to be related to, or caused by MCPE-152718.
I've been using the Nintendo Switch for four years now and it crashes a lot. There's no fix for 1.21.1 at the moment, which I find frustrating
everytime i start the game was ok, but after the first autosaving everything freeze ....not able to move at all.
Is this still an issue in the latest version?
