Grindstone not craftable

Same on me. It says tile_stone something

its using a double slab block instead.

To anyone having this problem,: MCPE-42352 describes an issue with slabs in inventory being converted to double-slab blocks when upgrading to this Beta release. It may be that you're trying to use double-slab blocks to craft the grindstone. Although they look just like the full-size blocks, internally they're different and they can't be used in crafting recipes.

To check whether you have double-slab blocks in inventory, try placing one and re-breaking it. If it turns into slabs, that is the cause of this problem. As a workaround, place and re-break all the double-slab blocks in your inventory. You should only have to do this for slabs that were in your inventory when you upgraded, and only once.

See attached screenshot. Crafting recipe is glitched to show a double stone slab which is impossible to actual have even via the /give command .

4 me it is that the crafting recipe requires a double stone slab block. on Java, it is a stone slab in the place of the so-called stone block.

It's the other way around, Auldrick. The recipe requires a double slab and we only have stone blocks.

Yeah, when pulling up the gridstone in the crafting menu, if you tap on the "stone block" there, it says that it requires a double slab and not a regular stone block.

This also happens in Android.

I believe the problem may have to do with the stone slab recipe.  When crafting them from a crafting table, the slabs do not work for the grindstone recipe.  However, when making a stone slab through a stonecutter, it works just fine.
