While the player is affected by a conduit, they can go inside a block and not suffocate until effect runs out.
I'm not sure if this is still possible in 1.10

this is normal

How? The conduit is supposed to only work underwater but because Bedrock (for some reason) uses the drowning system for suffocating, it stops you from drowning. If this was normal, the player would get conduit power while inside the block.

Conduits can only give you Water Breathing, Night Vision, and Haste status effects. There is no such thing as conduits giving players Suffocation Resistance so I find this as a bug.

This bug exists since the aquatic update. If you wear a turtle shell you will never suffocate, because it gives you waterbreathing.
