[Xbox One] Game was automatically updated to Beta without opting in

Tonight a beta build went out to everyone on Xbox One- even if you didn't sign up to be on the beta. Please do not open any of your saved worlds if you received this beta as it could cause potential corruption and/or prevent you from opening your worlds once you are restored to a previous release.
To check to see if you received the beta, go to the main menu. If the number on the bottom right corner of the screen says 1.11.0.7, you got the beta. If the number says 1.10, you are fine and did not receive the beta.

This morning, I tried again by uninstall and reinstall the game. Finally, it seems to be restored to the latest release version. But, I want to make sure it is safe to open on version 1.10.7.70 because its main screen was running aquatic background on first start up. I restarted the game, the background is now cats and pandas background.

I checked the version on Manage game showing 1.10.7.70 and the game main screen showing 1.10.0

Please help for I think I have fallen into the same issue. My minecraft for xbox one updated around midnight EST last night. I tried to start it and it went back to the home screen, is when I noticed it was updating. So I let it do its thing but when I started it It was in beta version 1.11 and my realms are gone.

My other for win 10 on my laptop seems to be fine. linked to the same account. Please help me figure out how to get back to where I was. No game has been opened in the Beta version.

If your console automatically updated to 1.11 by mistake, you should be able to uninstall and reinstall the game without losing your saves - this should put you back to 1.10, and if you haven't opened any worlds in 1.11 then they should open correctly without issue.

What might occur if I have opened a world in the beta version and try to revert it? Will the save corrupt no matter what or are there ways to negate corruption? If I were to remove all blocks and mobs changing between versions will the save be fine?

Might I ask, is there any way a mojang developer could create a simple tool to revert this, as I posted an issue regarding the fact that the same beta update bug happened while I was playing on a world, and that mean't I had no knowledge or chance of being able to revert it.

I have no information about whether a reversion tool could or will be built (and any such announcement wouldn't be made on the bug tracker anyway), but I thought you should know that it would not be as simple as changing the version number back to 1.10.0. When the world was opened in 1.11.0.7, the game would have converted some chunks as they were loaded. For example, any villagers found in them would have been converted to new villagers, new features such as pillagers, ravagers, and pillager outposts might have been generated, and there may have been invisible changes to prepare the chunk for other new features. If you moved through the world at all, it's also possible that new chunks were generated in a format that 1.10.0 wouldn't understand. All such changes would have to be backed out and the original data restored as part of the reversion process. I'm not saying a reversion tool is impossible (I don't know one way or the other), I'm just saying that it's not something that could be built in a couple of days, if it's possible at all.

Uninstalling and reinstalling worked for me. I never opened a map in BETA version. Everything was just like I left it. Thank you.

Now. Can we work on attaching my skin to my account so I don't have to hunt it every update or glitch. Lol

Mason Roberts' suggestion worked for me. Also here's a way to check the version without opening Minecraft:

On your dashboard, highlight Minecraft, press Menu, select Manage game & Add-ons, and look for Version, it should show up as 1.10.7.70 or 1.11.7.70, and if it shows as 1.10.7.70 the game is not in the beta, but if it shows as 1.11.7.70, the game is in the beta.

I had never loaded the beta on my Xbox One since I use a few special Android and Windows devices to play on the beta

26 March 2019  my kid's minecraft also switched to Beta without opting in.  I'm attaching pictures.  On the top of the Minecraft sign in screen, small white letters have appeared that read "beta 1.11.0/7 Gui:4.00" and a second line under that that reads "xbox_one_s, , Xbox One 5 10.0.17763.4088. FP560.0 Server Time: 0.0ms/50ms. Men: 853MB. Highest Mem:1045MB".  In the bottom right hand corner of the sign in screen, v.1.11.0.7 appears.  All worlds have switched to having the new villager appearance.  Villagers will not trade.  No progress appears to be lost in the world.  Images of an affected world are attached.

I have opened a world in the beta version because I thought this was a cool feature. I then noticed beta could corrupt your worlds. So I deleted my first version of the world because it could corrupt the rest I have a copy of it before then am I safe? or am I screwed?  I don't want to lose my medieval world that I spent a year and a half on! 😞 please HELP

What if no new chunks were generated during playing? could prove to allow reversion.

I suggest not playing in any worlds that where opened in the beta, unless you use a copy of the world.

If the world was opened in beta version 1.11.0.7 (the accidental update), please keep in mind when reverting to 1.10, it will show a message that the world was opened in a higher version and can not be opened /used, to protect the player from corrupting their world.

If you already have a backup (copy that was never opened in 1.11.0.7) from before the issue occurred and it synced to the cloud, you should be able to reinstall the game and use the 1.10 copy to continue on your world.

The sync process on the Xbox One is a background process, that can't be monitored as far as i'm currently aware.
