The wondering trader spawns frequently at my house but his character model does not appear at all except his Llamas ! this bug was also present at 1.11.0

Several days now, we have found the white Trader llama by itself. At first we figured the trader was being killed but what happened to the brown one? Every minecraft day I find the llama and no merchant and I find it hard to believe especially when I sleep that the trader is killed that easily and that quickly.
There is a leashed brown and white llamas in my world,they are around 50 blocks apart and the trader is missing
