No issues with cat spawning in any new updates.
Same issue. Single player test world as well as Realm. This has been an issue since bedrock came out.
I am having the same issue, I have my main traders in a small hole so I can break and replace the work stations easier. Makes it hard to have a villager hall.
Phantoms didn't spawn after 6 days awake. I was next to a village, once I moved away from the village 4 spawned but they would not attack. I am on a realm, currently on Xbox bedrock 1.14.30
Several days now, we have found the white Trader llama by itself. At first we figured the trader was being killed but what happened to the brown one? Every minecraft day I find the llama and no merchant and I find it hard to believe especially when I sleep that the trader is killed that easily and that quickly.
I have been playing for roughly 4 years. Up until now I have always had transparent leaves and I have never had Fancy graphics or fancy leaves option on. Which leads me to believe this is a bug. The textures Jappa has put out as well as the old textures there was never a dark green background where it should be transparent.
L@auldrick my game (Realm) is 1.10 so the 1.11 changes wouldn't effect my current villages.
1.9 changelog under mobs "cats will now spawn in villages generated prior to 1.8 update" see photos above.
@Kevin actually as of 1.9.3 (I think) they are SUPPOSED to spawn in Old villages (read a few change logs)
@Matt its a multi-edge sword, put out just bug fixes people complain, take too long to put out an update to get the bugs fixed first people complain, send it out too soon with bugs people complain, put out new content people complain. Over a million players SOMEONE will complain no matter how fast or how slow. That's why we have Betas and snapshots. Try playing those and report the bugs you find before it goes live.
Yep despite the changelog for 1.9 still no cats in old villages. I spent about 4 mine craft days or so around an old village and not a single cat came up.
Effects all versions.
As this issue has gone ignored or "works as intended" It can be closed.
the problem has worked itself out, Gold seems to have been the issue after all.
We are now in 1.9 Sheeps, Cows, Chickens and pigs are spawning on Cobblestone, Stone Granite, Etc... Needs to be just grass/dirt.

So far the current version of the bug has only been seen on Windows 10. Realm world, Multiplayer. No mods strictly Vanilla, World is about 2 months old (started after 1,8 came out)
My son just logged in on the realm, the bug seems to have changed. That said. He did not get a "your bed was obstructed or removed" message and fell at the last spawn point he had. We are digging out a huge area so the blocks that were there are gone and his bed was broken. He should have spawned at world spawn, Or at least the nearest spawnable block. ( there are half slabs now) He is on Win 10, realm is about 2 or 3 months old (right after 1.8), infinite world.

Just experience this 1.9.0 both of us are on ipads. Throw a pearl get stuck in bedrock. We were able to enderpearl and get through while sufficating. Bug also pops up the water bubbles. I got through but my husband was teleported to a black voidish area. After logging out and back in he was back in the bedrock, he was able to get through after that. We are on realms, world was made after 1.8 came out.
I have just tested this again. Tammed and untamed cats and ocelots seem to be working correctly with creepers now.
