I have been trying to get the beaconator achievement for sometime and it is yet to unlock, i earned the achievements for spawning and killing the whither straight away, but even after following many forums and youtube videos on constructing the 9x9 beacon pyramid and placing the beacon and using an iron ignot to pick a trait it still wont unlock. Upon further reading it is a common issue, however have not found a solution.

Edit, after about the 4 time logging into my world the achievement randomly popped, go figure.

I think the problem we're facing is large gaps of time when the game actually notifies the player when an achievement is unlocked Vs. when it's been achieved.

it also happened for me on widows 10 edition I have spent a day underwater but not achievement, also I got 1000 emeralds bust it says I only got 2% of the achievement

It's happening to me with Map room achievement. I have my 3x3 explored map on a wall and achieve don't unlock. I thought that it's because maybe any random pixel is unexplored... but I ensured to explore them, wait about 1 minute en each corner of each map... but don't unlocks it.
Furthermore, achieve unlock notifications are so random... and sometimes achieves are unlocked and you won't receive notification.
