[MCPE-47324] [Fixed in 1.13] Not receiving exp from furnaces

I set up a mega smelter to heal my tools with mending. I was able to heal a diamond axe one time, and now I do not receive experience from any furnace I extract items from. This includes furnaces without hoppers, as well as furnaces with hoppers that have been turned off so I can pull items out of the furnace. This is happening with furnaces and blast furnaces

Playing in bedrock on Xbox one in the latest update, bit not a beta. My smokers and furnaces almost never give me xp. It's my realm btw. I can empty 32 smokers or furnaces and only get xp from 0- 3 of them. Its ridiculous.

This appears to affect 1.11.4 also. I feel that it is an XP cap on smokers/furnaces. I have a mid level kelp farm(256 plants) connected to 7 smokers. For fuel I have a hopper and a single chest per smoker. So total capacity is 32 stacks of fuel which I obviously use kelp blocks. I filled all smokers up to capacity, which should smelt 41K items per smoker. I let about a third of the fuel get used up as I AFK'd for about 3 days... When I went to reap my massive XP reward, nothing... Fom any furnace. So I cleared out the fuel, adding only 4 stacks per smoker, and when this finally ran out it was great, XP and all as soon as I locked the bottom hoppers so I could pull out a single item - enough to fully repair an unbreaking III mending pickaxe. So I threw 10 more stacks in, and when these finally ran out I got nothing again.

So I believe there is a maximum amount of XP a furnace/smoker(and probably blast furnace) can hold, and when this is exceeded you simply get nothing out of it.

Can confirm for all 1.11 updates! This also happens on windows 10, and is easiest to reproduce on realms:]
This typically happen on realms, when you unload the area that the furnace is in, for longer than a couple of minutes. The stored exp in furnaces, can also be deleted by a realm reset, or when updating to a newer version!

Can confirm Android mobile both in solo and realms. Like Silent has pointed out it is tied to the furnace block being unloaded fully. Not certain of a fix since a realm can end up having a near infinite amount of furnace type blocks, and having a long double(C++ variable type for large numbers with decimals) for each individual block could chew up the limited memory for realms.

Silent - I'm not so sure that this had to do with chunks unloading, as I've been affected but have my kelp farm/smoker array in a custom ticking area on a realm... Perhaps my issue happens when the realm goes idle though

Edit: I just looked up the difference in kelp xp vs mutton/iron. I still think it has to do with a maximum amount of xp that can be stored... Can you repeat the video with 9 stacks of iron, 18 stacks of mutton, and 63 stacks of kelp?

People have smelted down double chests of stuff and gotten the exp from it. My single player testing really didn't do it justice, but i don't have a realm to do this kind of testing on. I'll talk to cornerhard, the one who programmed this feature, and see if there is any form of max limit. It should be infinite however.

Can confirm on Switch single player survival 1.11 too.

I have an automatic fish trap that feeds cod & salmon into a smoker (powered by an automatic bamboo farm for fuel which in turn is powered by bonemeal from the fish trap)

After a night of AFK during which literally thousands of fish passed through the smoker I got not a single orb. Not one.
