Confirmed in 1.20.10
I have reproduced this bug reliably.
If you place a chest in a hole with a 3 block hole (or more) beneath it. Then stand on the chest and open it you will take repeated fall damage and eventually die with the message "x fell from a high place".
I am on Windows 10 and Minecraft Bedrock 1.20
I have added a video.
This isn't a bug, This is just eye-catching dynamic design. It's supposed to look like that.
This is just how light (and our brains processing it) works.
The colour of the left green terracotta facing the light which is coming from the right in your image, is the same colour as the lime terracotta in the shade.
It's the same effect as this well-known illustration:
[media]Not a bug.
This is "as intended" Surely?
In beta 1.19.60.22 Nether mob spawns were set to 7 or below to nerf portal farms.
Endermen, Skeletons, and Wither Skeletons now only spawn at light level 7 and below (instead of 11 and below) in the Nether (MCPE-163701)
Or have I misunderstood something?
This, or something ?related is still happening in 1.19.50.02.
Actually It's appears more like the bug reported in BDS-14895 and there's no mention of libcurl in the error log but that has been closed as a duplicate of this so that led me here.
It anecdotally seems to be related to portal use but it's not every time so it's hard to pin down.

Also affects 1.19.40 I found a zombie after a desert temple trap exploded with extreme Decision Paralysis. See video.
Zombie unable to chose which block to hold
Another example, this time in 1.19.20:
Seed: -377451523
Coordinates: 190, 110, 285
Confident this is a bug not a parity issue because sometimes Eyes of Ender will lead you to a location where the Stronghold should be and there's nothing there. Presumably because it was supposed to generate below Y=0 and...didn't.
Yes this is still ongoing. Couldn't reproduce?
On Bedrock edition:
Place a lava pit somewhere where there's no other lava around. spawn a bunch of striders IN it. Watch as the striders wander away.
Or: Place a lava pit somewhere where there's no other lava around. spawn a bunch of striders NEAR it. Watch as the striders wander away, ignoring the lava.
-------------------
On Java Edition:
Place a lava pit somewhere where there's no other lava around. spawn a bunch of striders IN it. Watch as they wander around in the lava, going straight back in if their meanderings take them out.
Or: Place a lava pit somewhere where there's no other lava around. spawn a bunch of striders NEAR it. Watch as the striders make a bee-line for the lava.
Yes, this is still ongoing in 1.17.10
There is a global mob cap of (I think) 200 regardless of whether the mobs are hostile or passive. So if you have passive OR hostile animals in your world even if they are out of draw distance or unloaded totaling 200 your hostile farm won't work.
This may seem like a derpy suggestion, but do you by any chance have a parrot on your shoulder? I spent 20 minutes yesterday trying to get home from a jungle 8000 blocks away via the Nether but couldn't enter the portal. Turned out a parrot I'd befriended along the way was sitting on my shoulder.
Apparently you can't enter a portal with a parrot on your shoulder.
Confirming 1.11 and 1.12 on Nintendo switch. ( Survival, hard setting with a world created originally in 1.10)
No patrols, ever and the related bug ( MCPE-43396 ) where nothing respawns at outpost towers after killing them.
It's all village and no pillage.
Can confirm on Switch single player survival 1.11 too.
I have an automatic fish trap that feeds cod & salmon into a smoker (powered by an automatic bamboo farm for fuel which in turn is powered by bonemeal from the fish trap)
After a night of AFK during which literally thousands of fish passed through the smoker I got not a single orb. Not one.
As this was previously closed I reported it anew at MCPE-47227 with more detail. Since then I have found a third tower which was occupied by four pillagers. After I killed all four no more have spawned at all.
(edit) found another one, killed the inhabitants and again no more respawned, ever. (still never seen a patrol either.)
Additional info. This is a world that was created in 1.10. Don't know if that's at all relevant.
I had this! (Nintendo Switch, both single player & realm).
I had a village (a failed iron farm) with 50 beds and 8 workstations (composters) but got HUNDREDS of villagers that just bred and bred and bred. They'all dead now.
Notice there are more than 8 farmers too.
[media]Pillagers do not respawn at either of the two outposts I've camped near for hours. Once killed they're never seen again. (Nintendo Switch, Hard setting)
Sorry but they really don't respawn around outposts. I've been camping near one for 4 irl hours and not a single pillager has appeared. Tried it at two different outposts with the same result.
I am having a similar issue. The allays just hold the shard.
I have tried it leashed and unleashed
I have tried it with the allay holding an item and without
I have tried it with three different discs
(Please excuse my crude home-made Owl re-texture. Gotta stay on-brand!)
[media]Edit: Related to MCPE-166951 ?
My allays were collected in 1.20
