It is unknown whether "crawling" has been secretly added to Bedrock or maybe just a bug that allows you to do that. (MCPE-46794) Crawling is very fast as the same speed as sprinting. I believe MCPE-34112 or MCPE-41077 may have cause the crawling to exist, to prevent suffocation.
To Reproduce
1. Dig a 2 block deep hole
2. Dig while swmming through a 1x1 tunnel
3. Put a block to stop the flowing from flowing
4. You "crawl" fast with/without sprinting.

Confirmed. It appears the player gets stuck in some kind of pseudo-sprinting state; the swim animation plays and sprint particles appear even when not moving, and movement is much too fast
