I'm digging out a few chunks and noticed in my recently mined area the blocks are not getting a lighting update. Even though they now have sky access. The blocks can get dark enough that mobs will spawn in the middle of the day. I've noticed that I can log out and log back in and the blocks will have updated correctly.

Though the symptom is described a little differently (kind of the reverse), I believe this is the same bug as reported in MCPE-52887. That bug was fixed in the 1.13.0 release. Are you still experiencing this issue?

Can confirm it was fixed in one of the later betas. Not sure which. (Sorry). I'm not seeing it in 1.14.0.4 either
