Whenever I set custom skins, I’m only able to have two skins (one slim-armed and one classic) before it stumbles into chaos. The first issue is that once one has chosen two skins, it is only possible to change the skin entirely when you exit the app and renter (which is time consuming) and even then, both skins changed to the skin you wanted instead of just the one. Second, only two custom skins can be set at a time because of this. When one tries to get a third custom skin, when they try and select whether they want slim arms or classic, it shows up as one of the previous selected skins (which then leads back to the first issue selected). Lastly, this problem was seen with LAN games, when someone else enters (that’s not the creator of the world), they immediately obtain the creator’s skin despite they weren’t in that skin in the first place. And when they try to get the skin they were in the appear, it wouldn’t work. When this happened to me, I changed into a different skin and that worked but I couldn’t change into the skin I wanted to be in without it changing to the creator’s skin. If this could be fixed, that would be nice!
EDIT: This issue has still not been resolved, even after the 1.14.0 update! Now, the skin thing is even worse because I can’t even have two different skins at a time; I can only have one!

Steps to reproduce
1: Go into ‘profile’, click on any skin, and then ‘edit character’
2: Click the ‘owned’ tab and then import a skin from photos
3: Exit out of that skin and click ‘edit character’ on a different skin
4: Repeat step 2 for that second character
5: Exit out of that skin.
Observed results:
It’ll show that the first skin looks exactly like the second skin with the only possible difference being the body type.
Expected results:
The two skins should look like the two different skin designs chosen and not both looking like the second skin chosen.

Works as intended. Only one custom skin file is contained within the game files.

Jesse Kohn A quote from the developers:
"Due to the game's design, selecting a custom skin will use the skin.png file, applying a new custom skin will overwrite the existing skin.png. If you would like to see this feature implemented, suggest it on feedback.minecraft.net"
