Bees are angered when harvesting Beehives regardless of Campfires

Please provide a picture, video, or world download that shows exactly how to reproduce this issue.

Are you certain the distance between Campfires and Beehives is correct? While visually the range seems to go as far as the smoke, Beehives are affected by campfires only if they are 5 blocks below or less, so at most there should be four free spaces for the smoke.

I had this happen to me today on Windows 10 Bedrock 1.16.20 when I used a silk touch axe to chop down a hive that was directly over (no gap) a campfire.  I replaced the hive and chopped it again and it worked without enraging the bees.  So it doesn't seem to happen every time. 

Were they bees that were outside of the hive? If so, this is intended; campfires only pacify bees in regards to harvesting them with shears or bottles. Destroying a beehive with Silk Touch tool preserves the blocks with the bees that were inside it at the time.

That they only enraged once is also intended. Once bees successfully attack the player, they will become 'docile' and die in about a minute, since they lose their stingers.

In the video attached, the campfire is not under the bee nest! It’s under the block next to it! 🤦‍♂️

Ok so the wiki may need to be revised slightly. As long as a campfire is 5 vertical blocks directly beneath a beehive/bee nest, using a bottle will harvest the honey safely and the player gets the_Bee Our Guest Advancement_. However preforming the action I've highlighted directly from Beehive is what seems to be causing a misinterpretation of the mechanics.

If this is the intended result (which I agree with), removing the highlighted section from the wiki will correct anymore confusion.

In the video you’ve now attached, you aren’t harvesting anything, you’re breaking the beehive. The wiki is correct about both harvesting and breaking.

To get honeycomb, you need to “use” the shears, not mine with them. Just like shearing sheep, or collecting honey with a bottle.

I just realized this, I blame big fingers on a touch screen. close this issue everything works like it's supposed to.
