Multiplayer is buggy. When either me or my little brother hosts a game, and yes we have the proper settings on, neither of our game shows up on the other's list of games like it should. It used to show up, and yes WiFi was on. For both of us.
*What I expected to happen was for him to host the game through WiFi and the game would show up on my list of servers saying "Isaiah",that being his in game username and a blue icon that indicates a WiFi server flashing.
*What actually happened was he would join his server and I would wait for it to show up on my tablet. It never would. We both uninstalled several times. We both checked that we had good WiFi connection. We both made sure we had the multiplayer option in settings switched on. I also downloaded the game on my other siblings devices(all Rca dual core 4.2.2 jellybean) and theirs didn't work either.
1. Preferably use the same tablet and operating system as me and my brother and start mcpe.
2. Connect to WiFi, make sure you have good connection and are on the same WiFi. Go to settings in mcpe and switch on the multiplayer setting. Create a new server.
3. Wait for the other players server to show up. If it doesn't , there's your bug!

Workaround for this issue:
Find the IP address for the device you wish to connect to. The IP address can be found by going into the settings, clicking on WiFi and clicking on the network you are currently connected to.
On the device you are using, go to the worlds screen, tap the Edit button in the top right corner, and then tap the External button that appears next to it.
Enter the IP address of the device you wish to connect to in the Address field, erasing what was already there. When you are finished, press Add Server.
Click on the newly added server to connect to the other device.
Before doing this, make sure that the local server multiplayer option is set to on in the game's settings.
