It looks like the game turns raytracing OFF by default when creating /loading a world (with a Raytracing pack). Even though in settings it appears enabled.
Possible workaround:
Press ; (on the keyboard 2x) to switch raytracing ON while in the world. This might cause another bug where the graphics are all glossy. Reload the world.
(Note: this has to be done every time you relaunch the game)
Downloaded the beta and started using RTX Minecraft. Wanted to tinker with the DLSS Settings, but Advanced Video Options is missing.
Uninstalled/reinstalled, reset Minecraft settings, rebooted device. Advanced Video Settings still missing.

I discovered the UPSCALING toggle is for higher resolutions. I set my game to fullscreen mode and the toggle became available. if it doesnt then you cant run minecraft past 1080p
Are you using the latest graphics drivers? I had the same problem but it went away when I updated my drivers
This sounds like the issue that I am seeing. For background, I have a Quadro RTX 4000 card driving three 4K monitors. (I'm an engineer.) I have not tried any custom content; I've only tried a few of the premade worlds. I run Minecraft in fullscreen on my center monitor.
In the Advanced Video settings, DirectX Ray Tracing is available and enabled. However, the upscaling switch is grayed out and disabled. At the top of the screen, it says Upscaling Mode: Fallback.

Ah, thanks. I was not aware there was a special driver. (Details at https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/news/minecraft-with-rtx-game-ready-driver/ for anyone else who finds this and didn't know.) Looks like this is only for GeForce cards for now, so I'll need to wait for Quadro support.
I am on a quadro RTX 5000 and had the same issue. I found that by installing the game ready driver(non specific to a card) it will install and function on the quadro. Once I tried it again, I got the dlss option. The latest quadro driver doesnt support minecraft RTX but the game ready version does.
Is this still an issue in the latest RTX Beta version?
