Light soul soil and soul sand on fire
Observed Results:
Normal fire is created.
Expected Results:
Soul soil and soul sand should still create soul fire when dofiretick
is disabled.
Original Description:
hi, so i lit a block of soul soil on fire and there's no soul flame. (the blue fire). is this a bug or is soul fire not in the game yet?
Edit: So i noticed that not everyone has the bug. I was on a superflat world and i lit soul soul on fire and no soul fire. Hopefully this info helps.
Edit2: i had firetick off. I should've done more research.

I noticed that! Arrrrrgh!

This is definitely a bug, Soul Fire was in the 1.16.0.55 beta

Hi all,
I've not been able to replicate this. Are there specific areas this happens?
I loaded up a new creative world, placed soul soil and lit it on fire and while there is a brief flash of normal fire it then immediately switches to the blue flame. This leads me to think that its caused by a specific set of circumstances. Could any of the reporters please add detail on how to reproduce the issue?
Ionic

Hi IonicEcko,
I used flint and steel and was on a superflat world
Hope that helps

This also happens for me. Very annoying bug because if I want to use it in creative I have to use a command
This might be fixed along with MCPE-69072.

Ionic, did you have Firetick disabled? The bug report here states that you need to have it turned off to Reproduce the bug.

That detail wasn't here when I commented. One of the other mods managed to reproduce it and updated the report 🙂
Its since been confirmed.

Having randomtickspeed set to 0 will also prevent fire from turning into soul fire.

Fixed for 1.16.
Works for me here.
