Lava not emitting light with NVIDIA RTX resource packs

While testing the RTX beta, I downloaded the provided NVIDIA RTX resource packs (HD Decorative and HD Foundational) to create my own worlds while testing the capabilities of RTX. While exploring some caves, I ran into a patch of lava which did not emit any sort of light. I tested both NVIDIA resource packs, and then used both the MuddleRTX and RazzleCore RTX resource packs provided by Razzleberries, and in both the lava emitted light as normal.

Attached are screenshots of the same pool of lava using each resource pack, and the attachments are named according to the resource pack used. I hope this is helpful in some way!

The nvidia texturepage just didn't include the lava textures.

On a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 on build RTX 1.16.30.57, did not see light emitted from lava trying two different RTX cores.

I'm having the same issue with the officially released version of Minecraft RTX. the only light sources that work are the sun, moon, and torches.  All other light sources do not emit any light.

Minecraft version 1.16.200

The problem here is that Nvidia's resource packs are greatly lacking for anything but HD showcase

Confirmed with all publicly available rtx resource packs in the official release. Not sure how this is still a problem when the whole point of the update was to provide better lighting. Still getting schooled by Sonic Ether in looks, performance, and functionality.

In general these are issues with the resource packs. Whether a block is emissive is entirely pack controlled, and unfortunately many of the packs that have been around for a while aren't done properly. There were also multiple format changes to packs throughout the BETA's and some have not been updated which can cause issues.

Please try a more recent pack (such as Vanilla RTX) which works for me and let us know how you go.

Thank you for your report!
