I attempted to make a rising ice bridge, images of it attached below, however, instead of doing as intended, the boat sometimes doesn't rise with the platform, instead clipping into the rising ice block. I went to see if a friend could replicate the glitch in Java, but it seems this is only a bedrock issue.
Steps to reproduce
Make an ice boat road with a 2 x 2 rising platform as shown in the attached images or video. (Or a 1 x 2 rising platform as in the second example in
.)
Ride a boat down the road and over the platform.
Expected result
The platform lifts the boat every time.
Actual result
Sometimes the boat clips into the ice.

I've reproduced this using your setup:

Here are 4 possible causes of clipping:
A boat can slide under the top-half-slabs underneath the tripwire hooks. Replace the slabs with glass blocks to prevent that.
Bedrock's random redstone update order may play a role, as the 4 pistons at each step will not extend in the same order each time. However, I do not think that is likely a cause, since any ice block moving upward up should lift the boat.
Client-server disagreements about the player's position (MCPE-65094) could also play a role. That would require more investigation.
Boats interaction with vertical corners in strange ways. For example, you can get a boat to clip through when you place it, by placing it near the edge. I believe this is the primary cause of clipping on this ice bridge, but I need to do more testing.

Iām pretty sure #4 in my preceding comment is the primary cause of this bug. In other words, this is basically a consequence of MCPE-58008 / MCPE-47737.
Here is a slow-motion video. Note that in this video, I am getting the boat to clip through the rising blocks by deliberately moving it less than full speed. At full speed the boat is usually on top of the rising ice before it rises, so it does not fall through. Sometimes it will clip through the sidewalls depending on its exact position and momentum.
