I can't smelt gold in any kind of furnace in the beta on
minecraft, my friends also tell me they can't. Please fix this because it's extremely tedious to craft gold from gold nuggets you get in the nether

Please upload a screenshot or video of it not functioning in 1.16.0.59.
Please also test if this is only broken with existing ore or if it affects newly mined/acquired ore.
I've not been able to repro on 1.16.0.59.

I have just started playing multiplayer with my brother. Smelting the gold works there but in singleplayer for me it doesnt work

Can you confirm which version you are on? This is supposed to be fixed in 1.16.0.59.
