Помещая золотую руду в слот плавильной печи (или обычной) с добавлением топлива ничего не происходит. При добавлении других же видов топлива также не даёт результатов. This was listed as fixed in the 1.16.0.59 version of the BETA (over a week ago now).
Please check that you are running the 1.16.0.59 or 1.16.0.60 versions of the game. If you are and the bug is still present, please head over to MCPE-68978 and provide evidence of it not working in 1.16.0.59 or later (screenshots or video with the BETA text present).
