[MCPE-68978] Gold Ore cannot be smelted

Whenever you put Gold Ore in either a Furnace or Blast Furnace it won't smelt the Ore.

Can reproduce the bug on Android as well, it only affects normal gold ores, not nether ones.

gold_ore will not smelt in either furnace.

However, change the name to nether_gold_ore via MCC ToolChest and they will smelt

Same here! This bug was really annoying because At one point I thought I was going crazy. My issue has been resolved as it has been called a duplicate. I’m just hoping that this one gets resolved since it’s the main one. Either way I can’t get gold.

you can still smelt nether gold ore, my recommendation if you need to get gold is to go to the nether and silk touch the nether gold ore and smelt it.

Just check play store, there's an update for Minecraft from 1.16.0.57 to 1.16.0.58. hopefully it solve the issue, I'll let you know when I'm done

For me... This is heavier than the marketplace crash on Android (I also play on android device), cause this is the core gameplay it self. IT's a real trouble specially when I'm mining. I smelt ores then turn them to blocks to save some space.

The "Marketplace" crash happened on startup of the game when it auto-checks the marketplace if you own content, making it completely unplayable on Android AND on some Windows 10 devices (including mine). I hadn't been able to play for a week, while my wife on our XBox could play but was unable to smith gold or benefit from fortune-enhanced tools. No contest - the bug that makes the game 100% unplayable is worse than the one that inconveniences one aspect of gameplay. If you're desperate, swap to creative, throw your ore into lava and replace it with ingots, and swap back.
