What I expected was: I would not glitch through blocks but be blocked by them
What happened was: Walking/swimming into blocks that are at head height with non-full block/ water beneath, taking suffocation damage, but easily walking back out. If the block beneath the block you glitch into is a block but not full block, you get blocked by the block beneath but is partially in the block above, taking suffocation damage.
Steps to replicate:
Swim in water with elytra equipped.
Then walk into block at head height with non-full block such as water, cobblestone walls, or fence gates.
Jumping multiple times makes problem not replicate-able unless you swim in water with elytra again.

I don't know exactly how this could occur. Could this possibly be related to MCPE-85052?

I have run in to teh same issue. When raiding end cities I would be hit by shulkers, then when I levetated up into blocks above me, my head would go into the block half way and could see nothign but the inside of teh block. This has got to be fixed. Could it have something to do with the introduction of powdered snow?
My elytra was equiped during this time.

If you experience this after 1.16.100 you are more likely than not experiencing MCPE-109925. Please vote for that issue instead

@silentwhisperer This bug may be the same one or a variation of it as I tested the ways to replicate that glitch and it seems it may be the same one, there are just different ways to cause it. This video I have attached, "suffocation glitch.mp4" was taken after using my elytra.
