Steps to reproduce.
Set weather to thunderstorm
Throw a trident with the channeling enchantment at a mob (the mob must have sky access)
Observed results. The mob will catch fire but no blocks near the lightning strike will catch fire.
Expected results. Prior to 1.16, blocks near the lightning strike would have the chance to catch fire.
