On breaking the first half of a double chest placed in the creation of a double chest, the second half remains visually open if the chest was opened prior to breaking the first half, until it is interacted with through the use function or in the creation of a double chest. This bug is direction agnostic. It does not happen if the chest has not been previously opened, where in it's immediately placed and then broken, only after it has been opened.
This bug happens in both creative and survival.
To duplicate - create a double chest. Open the chest, then exit the chest UI. Break the first half of the chest placed - if the chest was placed left half then right half, break the left half, if placed right half then left half, break the right half. The remaining single chest will default to the open position without any more interaction.

This will also happen if you rapidly open any storage container in sequence on a server or realm
[media]Affects 1.16.40, the screenshots of a chest in a sandstone building I've added were taken in a marketplace map and I later tested in standard survival and it also happens there (added a third screenshot)
No longer occurs in 1.16.200.51, however when you break the first half of the double chest, the remaining single chest's closing animation will automatically end and instantly become closed
can confirm for windows 10 in 1.16.20!
