We both have active Game Pass and the realm subscription is paid for. Our family can play in the realm split screen just fine. When we try it says that the account logging in is already logged in on a device which isn't true. We've looked at them all and tried even reinstalling etc. Nothing has worked. We play on our realm every single day! In the morning we updated to play and see the vibrant visuals and boom haven't been able to get in together. On sperate accounts there's no issue (but then we'd have to take turns) but together it creates a 2nd profile. It's saying he is me so when I try to log in we both get kicked. We already checked the assigned controllers and everything. Nothing was wrong.

Around here we have the same mistake. We are not able to play on the split screen. When trying, even choosing another profile, it creates another one as if it were the same.
Same problem here (looks like other tickets as well like REALMS-13059), it started with the happy ghast update. With 1 player in the realm on the Nintendo Switch it’s fine, let’s say the player is “Jon”, then when another person on tries to join on a second controller with the + button they can choose their Nintendo profile (which has a different Microsoft account linked) but when it loads no matter who they picked it makes the person “Jon (1)”. That second person is like a brand new profile at spawn so there is no way to continue playing with 2 people on the switch on Realms currently.
Same here on ps5 since the happy ghast update i can no longer play split screen realms, i play with my children all who have their own linked accounts, and now everytime is says [player(1)] for the second player joining. Its really frustrating and since the update we stopped playing and will probably stop using realms. This issue is only in realms, multiplayer worlds dont have this problem.
Please solve this. It’s seems to be related to the account management for secondary split scrren users. They don’t get logged in with their correct account but instead becomes additional users with same name as the heading account
This is exactly what is described here:
Same thing happened here. It’s very frustrating. I want split screen back to badly!
