Issues with friends joining Realm- Xbox One Bedrock Edition

Hi,

I've set up a realm recently and had a few bugs appear that have affected friends:

1- A friend left the Realm as the game wasn't loading chunks in properly and attempted to rejoin only to become stuck on the "Loading Resource Packs" screen. The Realm is running default Minecraft packs only i.e. vanilla.

2- Another friend joined after fixing Privacy settings issues. Despite permissions being set to 'Member' i.e. full permissions, the game would not allow them to open chests or interact with and place objects, such as their bed which it had allowed them to break. 

 EDIT- Apologies, only just seen the 'one issue per report' thing, I think Issue 1 has a solution.

These issues are incredibly irritating for us as we just want to be able to play together. Have these issues occurred before and if so are there any known fixes?
