I'm attempting to join my friend's realm (they play on Nintendo Switch) and when I do it keeps saying "Could Not Connect: Outdated Server" with "Realms Update Pending Within 48 hours." The thing is that him and I both updated our Minecraft games today (08/11/2020) and it still won't let me join.
I might be crazy and it's just telling me to wait two days, but we both already updated, so I don't get what the bug problem is.

It is effecting 1.16.100 and all devices so android, iOS, windows 10, xbox one, Nintendo switch, and ps4 and it does it when the owner cant update it.
I'm experiencing the same issue. Friend hosts realm originally through Nintendo Switch. I play on Windows 10. First received the "Realm Update Pending Within 48 Hours" on 17 November @ 1800. Still unable to play as of 21 November @ 0800. The Switch client has been updated, as has the Windows 10 client.
I can confirm that the Realms work I'm playing on one right now also it's not you guys being up-to-date is that they have to update the Realms to 1.16.100 and apparently on your realm that hasn't happened yet
[edit]- your are crazy and it just says to wait two days
The realm hoster needs to update the realm. The same thing was happening to me before the host updated the realm.
Husband owned the Realm and updated on X-Box and can join the Realm with no issues but daughter on X-Box still cannot join and myself on PS4.All version V.1.16.100.Realm has been like that since the 17th.
Edit: Guess the Realm finally fixed itself today. We were all able to get on and play today.
I'm having this issue, too. Our Realm stopped working a week or so ago. We can't connect to it from either of our Windows 10 computers, both running Minecraft v1.16.100. I don't see a place to view the server's version. This is really a bummer. 😞
Edit: it suddenly started working. I didn't make any changes. Looking in the realm backups, I see version 1.16.101 now, as of 11 minutes ago.
For those affected, could you please mention which devices and versions you are using?
