None of my Realms are accessible in the current patch of 1.16.4.
I can swap between the different worlds, but any attempt to connect to them results in a long waiting time followed by the message "An error occurred, please try again later." Restarting the game does not affect the situation.
Are there any ongoing server issues or is there any way I can try to fix this issue?

same with me, too, I tried to connect to a realm but I can't!! it's really annoying.
I have used my VPN to connect to regions all over the world. This is Enterprise wide.
I was getting the 429 error for two months and now this morning I can't log on because of this "an error occurred, please try again later". Will this minecraft server ever work? First I used to lose game play because it didn't save hours of work, then I would fall through the earth when logging in, and now this. Why am I paying for a service that doesn't work?
I add myself to the problem of the realms out of order since this morning ... in recent days I too was accusing the problem 429 😞 .

Im still having this issue. Think there should be a post about updates or service if it will shut out the players. Have been having this problem for 2,5 hours. And how long is "soon" for this service window?
Another dissatisfied Realms customer, Mojang! A customer who can't use the product I paid for. First it was the 429 error, but that block usually didn't last very long. Your new bug has locked me out all morning.
From a high level -
Please, when an issue has been confirmed and an effort has been started to fix it, update the error message presented to the users. You have many many users that will continue to not only waste their time (pissing them off), but your servers will be bombarded compounding the problem.
Also please - proactively - notify users through discord or email, Jira - when the issue is cleared. Having to go back and check also wastes time and pisses users off.
Having the same issue for hours now... will it be solved soon?
Would be great to know what's going on and why so many people are affected without any update.
actually on my account, there is an update of the launcher this morning ... can all this lead to this situation?

Same with mine this morning. 1.16.4 java I do believe. ours is called district 12.. don't know if that helps.
